The world premiere of new cabriolet Jaguar XK happens at Detroit Motor Show (January 2006). For motorcar body construction light materials have been used which allowed to reduce the car mass. The procedure of folding up the convertible top lasts 18 seconds only. Eight-cylinder engine with capacity of 4.2 liters is used for the drive. The maximum power is 298 HP. 85 % of maximum torque – 411 Nm, are available in the rotational interval from 2000 to 6000 rpm.
